Susan D. (Cordle) Parker

Susan D. Parker of Prescott, Ariz., passed away Sept. 30, 2009. Born on April 14, 1941, in Mason City, Iowa, she was the daughter of Harold and Ruth Cordle.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who lived life with a passion.

Susan worked as a travel agent for almost 40 years. She was the founder and owner of Adventure Travel in Prescott, Ariz. She is a former president of the Prescott Rotary Club. Susan loved exotic travels that took her around the world. She was also an avid reader and historian.

Susan is survived by her husband, V. Roger Parker; daughter Mary Steffey (Michael Pareja) of Prescott, Ariz.; sons Matthew (Robin) Parker of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Stuart (Georgie) Parker of Apache Junction, Ariz.; brother Dennis Cordle of Iowa City, Iowa; grandchildren Nicole, Calvin, Tatum, Jordana, Kristen, Calvin, Shea, Chris, Justin and Alex; and three great-grandchildren, Karly Jo, Oakley Nash and Selena. Susan is preceded in death by her son, Christopher Stephen Parker, and brother Thomas Cordle.

A Celebration of Life service with live webcast will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, 2009, at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott, Ariz.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Granite Mountain Hospice, 3107 Clearwater Drive, Prescott, AZ 86305.
