| The Verde Independent Thursday, October 01, 2009 Joyce G. Hamlin, 77, of Clarkdale died September 27. She was born October 18, 1931 in Montebello, California, the daughter of Samuel Aubrey Jones III and Norma Lee Lowry Jones. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee Hamlin, Sr. and a daughter, Diana Lynne Foreman. Mrs. Hamlin is survived by a son, Charles Lee Hamlin, Jr. of Tennessee; a daughter Laurie Rangel (Lou) of Clarkdale; a sister, Leeta Pistone of Banning, California; grandchildren Jason Foreman of California, Steven Rangel of Newton, Kansas, Charlotte Noble of Portsmouth, Virginia and Angela Rangel of Precott Valley. A memorial service will be held Saturday Oct. 10 in the Westcott Funeral Home at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the funeral home reception room. She will be buried with her husband in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. Donations in her memory may be made to Verde Valley Community Hospice, 717 N. Main St., Cottonwood, AZ 86326.
