James Mills, loving husband and dad, was born February 8, 1918 in Kokomo, Indiana.

Growing up in this small town he lost his parents at an early age leaving 9 brothers and sisters. To help feed the family he dropped out of school to go to work.

Dad joined the Merchant Marines and transitioned into regular Navy in his early 20's and served the last 3 years of WWII as a gunners mate.

Shortly after the war Dad and Mom met and married within a year.

Dad worked a number of jobs from automotive to aircraft maintenance. I'll always remember his great work ethic which greatly influenced my life.

When his work here was done, he passed on to a heavenly world on August 21, 2005.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Bonnie; daughter, Rita; son, James Rogers; daughter, Rhonda; son, Mark, and daughter, Tina; 1 brother, 2 sisters, 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Arrangements handled by Allen Funeral Home.
