The Heritage Funeral Chapel David Brian Konderik Died: Tuesday, September 01, 2009 David Brian Konderik, a 29-year resident of Peoria, died September 1st, 2009 at the age of 56 in North Central Phoenix as a result of a long battle with cancer. Born November 30th, 1952 in Portsmouth, Virginia, as the first born child to parents Richard S. and Ann C. Konderik. A Marine Corps veteran, music lover, and a spiritual God loving man, David was a member of the choir and congregation at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Glendale. Employed by CityLights of Phoenix, the Bruno family along with fellow coworkers served as an extended family for which everyone is so grateful for their generosity and care. David is survived by his three children from his marriage with Robin Konderik, son Mr. Brian Konderik and his wife Courtney, son Mr. Joel Konderik and Tosha Pothen, daughter Mrs. Rene Bussey and her husband Zachary, as well as his two grandchildren Alana and Parker Konderik, and his pet cat Petey. Also survived by his mother Ann Konderik; sister Lisa Karlowicz and her husband Alan along with their children Brandon, Cindy, and Michael; brother Vincent Konderik and his wife Janice along with their children Jill, Josh, Justine, and Jamie; brother Steven Konderik and his wife Kristi along with their children Melissa and Katey. Visitation and Funeral Services will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 6180 W. Utopia Rd. Glendale, on Thursday September 3rd at 5pm with Mass immediately to follow at 7pm. Interment to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th St. Phoenix, on Friday, September 4th at 9am. In lieu of flowers, our family asks that you would be so kind to direct donations in David's memory to Hospice of the Valley- Gardiner Home, 1510 E. Flower St. Phoenix, AZ 85014.
