Arizona Daily Sun Flagstaff, Arizona Tuesday, July 14, 2009 Barbara Dell Snyder, 74, died July 12, 2009, in Cottonwood. She was born Dec. 28, 1934, in Douglas, to Tony and Rodell Stimac. Mrs. Snyder lived and worked in Arizona all of her life from Flagstaff to Douglas, before retiring from Cochise College- Elderhostel as an assistant director. She loved working for Elderhostel. She loved all of her jobs, being with people and making a difference in her community. She met Robert Snyder while working at Cochise College, and they were married on May 25, 1991. They resided in Douglas for 12 years before retiring to Lake Montezuma in 2003. She loved playing bridge, reading and gambling. She was a great wife, mother, grandmother and friend, and she will be deeply missed. Mrs. Snyder is survived by her husband, Robert Snyder; five children, Mike Daniels (Shawni) of Phoenix, Rodney Daniels (Cheri) of Lake Montezuma, Sheri Newman (Steve) of Phoenix, Steve Ganley (Wendy) of Buckeye, and Kathleen Ganley of Flagstaff; brother Jim Parks (Marie) of Bakersfield, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. A visitation will be Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Buckeye Funeral Home with services immediately following. She will be laid to rest next to her oldest grandson, Jeremy Burns in the Louis B.
