Edith Mary Freed, age 95, passed away on September 5, 2004 in Mesa. She was born June 23, 1909 to Richard and Jennie FOSENBERG, in Foster, Iowa. Edith was the eldest of three sisters.

She moved to Arizona in 1974 from New York.

Survivors include daughter, Donna GREEN, Mesa AZ and son, Ronald FREED, O'Fallon, IL; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joyce Lee, 1964 and her husband, Louis T. FREED, 1983.

A memorial service was held at Hansen Chapel of Prayer, 108 N. 56th St., Mesa, AZ.

Memorial contributions may be made in Edith's memory to the American Cancer Society, 2929 E. Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ 85016 or the Salvation Army, 1927 N Gilbert Rd, Mesa 85203.
