Delores Jean (Lofton) Potee

Dolores Jean Potee, 76, formerly of Flagstaff, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, in Las Vegas. Mrs. Potee was born March 19, 1933, in Beaumont, Texas to Mr. and Mrs. James Lofton.

She moved to Flagstaff in 1951 after graduating from Jefferson High School in Los Angeles. In Flagstaff, she met her husband, James Potee. After moving away from Flagstaff, she would return for the summers. She was a retired homemaker whose special interests included being a seamstress and interior decorator. She belonged to the Destined For Glory Outreach Ministry.

She is survived by husband James Potee; sons Michael (Cynthia) Potee, Kenneth Potee and Darrell Potee; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Potee was preceded in death by parents Mr. and Mrs. James Lofton; Carolyn Potee; and a granddaughter.

Visitation is today from 3 to 7 p.m. at Hites Funeral Home, 438 W. Sunset Road, in Las Vegas. Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at New Birth Baptist Assembly, 4085 N. Rancho Drive, Las Vegas.
