Walter, Jr. (Chip) Vannette

Walter "Chip" Vannette Jr., 44, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2009, in Fremont, Calif.

Mr. Vannette was a longtime resident of Flagstaff, where he graduated from Flagstaff High School and Northern Arizona University. He loved hiking in Arizona, playing his guitar and sharing time with his many friends.

Mr. Vannette is survived by his wife and love of his life, Marcy (Baker); his parents, Walter and Trenda Vannette; children Mychal Vannette, Jessica Vannette, Jennifer Vannette, Jeremy Mejia and family, Amy Klinkhammer and family, Calvin Brady and Tyler Brady; brothers Aaron Vannette and Charles Vannette and family; sister Tena White and family; grandmothers Eunice Vannette and Gladys Aalbers; two grandsons; godson Mika England; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and dear friends.

The family will be receiving friends at Norvel Owens Mortuary on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the mortuary on Thursday at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being set up at Chase Bank, contact Walter Vannette Sr. for account information. Memorial donations can also be sent to the Highway 13 Church of Christ Youth Ministries in Bolivar, MO, 65613.
