Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Sunday, August 30, 2009 Ruth Eleanor Pelch, 89, of Flagstaff died Aug. 29, 2009. She was born May 29, 1920, to Phillip and Isabel Maines in Vintondale, Pa. Mrs. Pelch worked as a nurse for many years and she loved to paint and sing. She lived in Flagstaff off and on since 1991 She was an active member of the Nazarene church until she entered the nursing home in 2004. She is survived by her five children, Carolyn Louis Bowman of Stanley, N.C.; Robert Lee Edmonds of Phoenix; Janet Lorraine Brockman of Flagstaff; John Phillip Edmonds of Buckeye; and Pamela Ruth Tracy of Flagstaff. She has 21 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pelch is also survived by two sisters, Luella Maines Chase of Warren, Pa.; and Dorothy Maines Hale of Richardson, Texas. Mrs. Pelch was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert L. Edmonds; husband Ronald E. Pelch; and her brother, Phillip D. Maines. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 1, at Flagstaff Church of Nazarene, 3505 E. Soliere Ave. A graveside service will be held 9 a.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Cemetery in Glendale.
