Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Wednesday, August 19, 2009 William "Bill" Elsworth Lemons, 82, died on Aug. 16, 2009, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Nov. 13, 1926, in Newport, Ark. Mr. Lemons was a local businessman for many years, but his passion was preaching the gospel and sharing the Lord with everyone he met. He preached at the Sunshine Rescue Mission on a regular basis. He was a veteran of World War II, loved to fish, hunt, play the guitar and sing. More than anything, he was a man of God who dearly loved his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Mr. Lemons is survived by his wife of 58 years, Rose Jane Lemons; his daughters, Rita Guthrie (Allen), Shirley Calahan (Paul), Mary McKay (Roland), Deborah Schill, Diann Chidester, Sandra Johnson (Ken), Wilma Lujan (Merv), Shauna Carillo (Adolpho) and Brianna Redding (David); two brothers; one sister; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and two great-great- grandchildren.
