Adam David Bowman

Adam David Bowman, 29, of Flagstaff died of a pulmonary embolism on July 11, 2009, in Casper, Wyo., while visiting his family. Adam was born April 27, 1980, in Douglas, Wyo.

While he spent most of his school years in Casper, graduating from Natrona County High School in 1998, he also attended Coconino High School in Flagstaff. He was involved with both hockey and baseball in Flagstaff and Wyoming. On Feb. 8, 1999, his son, Tanner Patrick Bowman, was born.

While working in Tucson he met the love of his life, Amanda Lynn Kuitert. They presented their families with a daughter, Lily Shea Bowman, on May 19, 2004. They moved to Flagstaff in 2006, when he was promoted to store manager with Pizza Hut, a company he grew with for six years.

On Oct. 6, 2007, Adam and Amanda celebrated their wedding in Las Vegas.

Adam is survived by his wife, Amanda; children Tanner and Lily of Flagstaff; father and stepmother, David and Jean (Richmond) Bowman of Flagstaff; mother and stepfather Susan and Sonny Rone of Casper; grandparents Gordon and Marjorie Bowman of New York, Sonya Richmond of New Jersey, Frank Humes of Wyoming, and Marvin and Adrienne Rone of Wyoming; sister Kaitlin Bowman of Flagstaff; brothers Joe Bowman of Flagstaff, Marvin (Jana) Rone, Michael (Star) Rone, all of Casper, and Matthew (Tina) Rone of Grand Forks, N.D.; brother-in-law William Kuitert, mother-in-law Midge Thomas and father-in-law Gary Kuitert, all of Tucson; as well as numerous aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and a lifetime of friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Albert Richmond, and grandmother Donna Humes.

Adam will be remembered for his laughter, big smile, love of the New York Mets, golf and politics. He will always be loved and greatly missed.

A celebration of his life will be Saturday, July 25, at 4 p.m. at Bushmaster Park (north ramada).
