Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Sunday, July 26, 2009 Albert H. Colson, 90, died on July 22, 2009. He died peacefully in his sleep with his family by his side. He was born in Bisbee to Frank and Gertrude Colson. Mr. Colson served in the South Pacific in World War II. He was unsurpassed in his architecture and building of commercial and fine custom homes, and the integrity he built them with. He always said, "If you love the work you do, you will always be happy." And he was. He was greatly loved, respected and cherished by all who know him. He loved hunting, fishing and camping with his family, and later in retirement, he and his wife enjoyed traveling with their fellow RVers across the country. They also enjoyed their summer home in the pines at Kit Carson Park in Flagstaff. Mr. Colson is survived by his two daughters, Marie Baker and Deborah Cargile; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Adma Nackard Colson; and his son, Phillip M Colson. A service will be Thursday, July 30, at 1 p.m. at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., in Sun City, (623) 933-0161. All are welcome to join the reception at the family home following the service. |
