James Miller, World War I Veteran, Dies at Whipple Hospital

Funeral services for James F. Miller, 52, World War I veteran, were held Monday, July 23, at Hunters Mortuary in Prescott, with burial in the National Cemetery at Whipple.

Services were in charge of the American Legion.

Mr. Miller, well-known to many in this vicinity, passed away July 20 at Whipple Veterans Hospital, where he had been a patient for the past year and a half. A native of Big Springs, Texas, he is survived by his wife and seven children, none of whom were able to attend the funeral because of transportation difficulties. Three sons serviving their
country in World War II, two of them overseas. Other survivors are Mrs. W. A. Simpson, Salome, who was at his bedside at the time of death amd Mrs. Stella Gray, also of Salome.
