| The White Mountain Independent Show Low, Arizona October 13, 2009 Julia Fay Mortensen Folkner, 74, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009, Mesa. She was born Feb. 20, 1935, in Mesa to Kenneth Alton Mortensen and Huleta S. Merrill. Julia was a retired caregiver. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved the gospel. Julia spent her time taking care of others. She always had a kind word for everyone. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Julia is survived by her daughters, Sue (Terry) Young and Sharon Damron; five grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; brother Karl Mortensen; and sister Neomi (Dave) Lewis. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Leroy Mortensen and Eugene Mortensen. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Springerville Building, with visitation one hour prior.
