The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, May 04, 2005 November 24, 1910 - April 25, 2005 Dorathea Carter Dorathea Carter, age 94, died Monday, April 25, 2005. She was born in Wichita, Kan., in 1910, moving to Phoenix in 1912. Dorathea married William J. Carter in 1929. They had 11 children. She was a long-time member of the L.D.S. Church, a wonderful mother and homemaker. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor and her loving ways. She is survived by a sister, Esther Grant of Minnesota; daughters, Phyllis Miller of California, Beverly Hall and Karen Savage of Prescott, Yvonne Harris of Payson, and sons, William J. Carter Jr. of Yuma, Richard Carter and Larry Carter, both of Tucson; 23 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. We love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck. Graveside service on Saturday, May 7, at 1 p.m., at Mountain View Cemetery, 1051 Willow Creek, Prescott. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to the hospice of your choice. Arrangements handled by Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home.
