The Arizona Daily Star, Tucson, Arizona February 18, 2009 Virginia Reuss departed this life on February 14, 2009. Virginia was born February 28, 1929 in Liberal, KS to Lloyd and Leona Chance. In 1985 Virginia and her husband Robert moved to Tucson from Northern New York. Virginia was a docent at the Desert Museum for ten years. A life-long watercolorist, she was a member of the Southwest Arizona Watercolor Guild and showed paintings at the Desert Museum and St. Philips Plaza among other venues. She was an active member of the Women's Auxiliary of the American Institute of Mining Engineers. Virginia is survived by her husband of 46 years, Robert; sons, Nikos (Nancy) Reuss of Paola, KS, Mark (Lana) Reuss of Lexington, MA; daughters, Maia (Dr. David) Cooley of Rapid City, SD, Dagny (John) Ontiveros of Clarkdale, AZ; grandchildren, Tommy, Donald, Jennifer, Jazen, Evelyn and Livia, Maia Rose, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. A Memorial Service will be 1000 a.m. on Friday, February 20, 2009 at EAST LAWN PALMS MORTUARY, 5801 E. Grant Rd. Interment will be in the family plot in Liberal, KS. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Virginia's name. |
