Odis Elmo Rains

Odis Elmo Rains, 92, of Buckeye died March 26, 2005.

Mr. Rains was born Sept. 8, 1912, in Stigler, Okla. A former railroad trackman, he worked for the city of Phoenix upon his arrival in Arizona in 1956 and until his retirement in 1974. In 1966, Mr. Rains and his wife, Lela, moved to the Buckeye Valley and raised livestock.

Mr. Rains is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lela; two sons, Robert of Cottonwood and Donal of Goodyear; one sister, Edna of California; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at 2 p.m. today at Buckeye Funeral Home, 104 Baseline Road in Buckeye. The Rev. Ken Herman will officiate. Interment will be at Louis B. Hazelton Memorial Park in Buckeye.

Buckeye Funeral Home made the arrangements.
