Debra Ruth (Shindledecker) Wilmarth

Debra Ruth Wilmarth, 51, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family and friends on August 25, 2004 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born January 3, 1953 at the Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, moved to Mesa when she was 10 years old and graduated from Westwood High in 1971. Ruth was a loving mother, devoted wife, adoring daughter, and loyal friend. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her mother, Mary Francis Shindledecker of Mesa; her father, John Burton Shindledecker and his wife Nicki of Boise, ID; her husband of 24 years, Bob Wilmarth; three children, Clinton Russell Jarrett, Kristine Elizabeth Gladden, and Johnathan Robert Wilmarth; two grandchildren, Ryler and Sera; a brother, John Cort Shindledecker, all from Mesa; and her step-brother and sister, Mike and Nancy of Boise, ID.

Services were held Thursday, September 2, 2004 at Word Of Grace Church, 655 E. University in Mesa, AZ. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Ruth's name to The American Cancer Society, (please specify breast cancer research), by phone at 1-800-227-2345, or by mail at 2929 E. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85016. Bunker's University Chapel handled the arrangements. 480-830-4105.
