Virgil L. Ray, Peoria, Ariz.

Services for Virgil L. Ray, 81, Peoria, Ariz., formerly of Nevada, Iowa, who died Jan. 24 at Sun City, Ariz., will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Glendale, Calif. on Feb. 2. The body was cremated.

Mr. Ray lived in Nevada until 1937 when he and his wife, the former Doris Potter of Winterset, and son Neale moved to Glendale. After retirement they lived in Laguna Hills, Calif., and Peoria, Ariz.

Survivors include his wife, Neale and wife Lu Ellen of Peoria, Ariz.; a grandson, David Ray of Seattle, Wash.; and a granddaughter, Deborah Meilu of Opelika, Ala.

Mr. Ray was the uncle of former Iowa governor Robert Ray. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetic Association.
