Odette Elizabeth Marie Henriette Ceolin of Prescott, Ariz., died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009, at 12:20 p.m. at home after her long battle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's.

Born in Paris, France, on May 25, 1925, to Marceau and Henriette Mazars, she was a loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She is survived by Sante, her husband of 64 years; daughter Monique; grandson David and his wife Tracy and their two children, Nathan and Shae.

She had known Sante since she was 8 years old in grammar school in Les Clayes, 12 miles outside of Paris. They shared a lifetime together hiking, camping, gardening, fishing, biking, hunting for mushrooms and exploring life, love and nature. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, knitting and music; and was a self-taught painter and played the violin. She was an active member of St Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Payson and was a member of St. Vincent de Paul and Sodalite. She cherished most spending time with her family and friends, and helping others.

In the hope of advancing our knowledge of the diseases which so cruelly took her from us, she donated her body to science.

A Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Vincent de Paul or Hospice of Yavapai Regional Medical Center.
