She was born Feb. 19, 1921, in Amma, W.Va., to H.C. and Martha Nida. She was the seventh of nine children, all having preceded her in death. On Nov. 20, 1939, she married her now departed husband of 54 years, Russell M. Colwell, Lt. Col., U.S. Army (retired). In 1952, while stationed in Frankfurt, Germany, they adopted their only child, Michael R. Colwell, enrolled agent, a 25-year residence of Kingman. Funeral arrangements are being split between Dimond and Sons of Bullhead City, then after being transported to El Paso, Texas, Martin Funeral Home will make final arrangements for her burial. At a date to be determined later, she will be laid to rest with her husband at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso. Mike and his significant other, Donna, would like to thank The Gardens Care Center of Kingman for taking wonderful care of our mother over the past five years. You did a great job of handling a difficult situation. |
