The Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, Arizona Wednesday, August 19, 2009 Michael St. Amand went to be with his Lord on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009. Michael was born to Leon and Eva St. Amand on April 22, 1934, in Limestone, Maine. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Rita. He is also survived by his siblings, Hazel, Leona, Norman and Adrian. Michael is also survived by his loving children, Mike (Monica), Shauneene, Vincent, Patrick (Renae) and Joseph (Namantha); his grandchildren, Dakota, Alysia, Dylan, Ryan, Michael Chase, Carson and Aspen, and a large extended family and countless loving friends. Michael loved the Lord, his family and his country, proudly serving the United States Navy for eight years as a corpsman during the Korean Conflict and a gunner aboard the USS Harry F. Bauer DM-26. Michael was a proud member of The International Laborers Union Local 300; while with the union, he worked (for 26 and a half years) as the crane operator for General Concrete in Van Nuys, Calif. Michael had many passions; they included his wife, children, grandchildren, hunting, fishing, off-roading, and his wolves. Michael was also very active; he enjoyed working out and going on long walks. His fight against cancer was short but valiant - thank you Papa for fighting so strongly. You are truly one of a kind and a superman to us all. Thank you for giving us so much of your life. A celebration of his life will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 21, at The Abundant Life Church, 1212 Stockton Hill Road, Kingman, with Pastor Randy Cheatheam officiating. |
