The Kingman Daily Miner, Kingman, Arizona Friday, August 21, 2009 Jamie Elizabeth Otero went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2009. Jamie was born in Kingman on Feb. 5, 1979. Jamie was raised by her mother and father, Debra and Samuel Robinson at Crozier Ranch, just outside of Hackberry. While growing up at Crozier Ranch, Jamie enjoyed riding horses and swimming in a spring-fed pool at the family home. As a child, Jamie began riding in gymkhanas and barrel racing. Jamie won several awards and trophies through riding. Jamie also was a part of 4-H where she raised a champion pig. Jamie graduated from Kingman High School in 1997. While in high school, Jamie was a part of the cross country team, track and field and student council. Jamie was a wonderful athlete and enjoyed the 400- and 800-meter runs. While in high school, Jamie also met her husband, Gabriel Otero. During the summers, Jamie began to work as a lifeguard and she taught swimming lessons. Jamie was dedicated to working with children and teaching them to swim. Jamie later went to Mohave Community College and Glendale Community College. Jamie and Gabriel later moved back to Kingman in 2002 and started their family. Through the next couple years, Jamie gave birth to three beautiful children. Jamie was a devoted and dedicated mother. Jamie would work as a waitress at night at several different places. Some people might remember her from Chili's, the DamBar and Mattina's. Jamie enjoyed camping in the White Mountains, horseback riding, going to the lake and being with her family. Jamie was a ray of sunshine who would brighten everyone's day. Jamie is survived by her father, Samuel Joseph Robinson; mother, Debra Robinson; step-mother, Debbie Robinson; brother, Samuel Joseph Robinson Jr.; step-sister, Karen Ledford; step-brother, Alan Connelly; husband, Gabriel Otero; and her three beautiful children, Gabriel Otero III (6), Grace Otero (4), and Gwyneth Otero (3). Jamie will be missed by all. Jamie's services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25, at St. Johns Methodist Church. The reception and celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, at Metcalfe Park, Beale and Grandview. All family and friends are invited. |
