Richard Faustino Martinez
(June 30, 1960 - October 9, 2008)

Richard Faustino Martinez, 48, of Show Low, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2008, at a Phoenix hospital.

Richard was born July 30, 1960, in Holbrook. He attended school in both Show Low and Snowflake, graduating from Snowflake High School in 1978. Richard worked in construction for many years throughout Arizona; however, the majority of his working life was spent doing what he loved most, music. He worked as a concert stagehand, sound man and disc jockey in Phoenix and Tucson until 2001. Since then, he had relocated to the White Mountains and ran his own mobile D.J. service.

Richard was very spiritual, and he loved music, airplanes, motorcycles, animals, nature, the White Mountains, and most of all, his family and friends. He was very loving and loved. He is missed and he will always be missed.

Survivors include his son, Joseph Christopher Martinez of Globe; wife, Lisa Maria Martinez; father, Faustino L. Martinez; stepmother Diane Martinez; mother Joani Burgess and brother, Marc A. Martinez, all of Show Low; three stepdaughters, Angel and Liana Benally and Jasmin Johnson of Show Low; three granddaughters, Breanna, Amber and Justine Martinez of Globe; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son, Justin Neal Martinez and a sister, Dori Kathleen Martinez-Parcell.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, October 18, at Calvary Baptist Church in Show Low.
