The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, April 11, 2006 Florence Hetts, 94, of Prescott, Ariz., died peacefully as she slept in the early morning on Monday, April 3, 2006. She had most recently been living at Las Fluentes Care Center. She was born on November 6, 1911 in Kalamozoo, Mich., the daughter of Jerome Carl and Mary Fern (Snyder) Goodrich. Florence was preceded in death by daughter, Sharon, in 1943; husband, John in 1981 and brother, Gene, in 2005. She came to Arizona in 1966, living and working at the Grand Canyon until 1973 when she retired to Prescott. a portrait and landscape artist, she also volunteered at the Adult Center and the Smoki Museum. Florence was a passionate lover of the southwest and nature. She was a gracious friend and well loved by all who knew her. Survivors include daughter, Paulette Rayel; brother, Phil; four grandchildrern and one nephew in Mich.; two nieces in Texas and one nephew in Florida. Donations in her memory could be made to Prescott People Who Care, 505 W. Guriey St., Prescott, Ariz. 86305. No services scheduled at this time. Heritage Memory Mortuary assisted the family.
