Samuel Lentine, Jr., age 86, died April 16, 2006, in Phoenix, Ariz. He was born July 3, 1919, in Beloit, Wisc., to Samuel and Josephine Lentine, Sr.

Samuel served his country proudly in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He worked as a real estate broker in Prescott Valley and was a charter member of the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce. Everyone who knew him said "he loved to eat and even my tennis serves a treat."

Samuel is survived by his wife Shirley; his daughter Joanne Hatfield; his son Samuel Lentine II; grandchildren Jamie, Julie, Mark, Hari, Robert III and Shelby and his great-grandchildren Daniel, Alexis and Tavin.

He will be remembered by his family as a great husband, father and grandfather.

A gathering of family and friends in honor of Samuel will be held Friday April 21, 2006, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Sunrise Funeral Home in Prescott Valley, Ariz.

Commemoration services will be held Friday April 21, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Heritage Memorial Park in Dewey, Ariz., with father Daryl Olds officiating and full military honors provided by American Legion Post #6.
