Ethel "Virginia" Bergquist, age 94, went home to God on May 18, 2006. She was born in Chicago, Ill., on Sept. 6, 1911, to Homer and Helen Gross.

Virginia was an executive secretary at Mars Candy Co. until her marriage to Carl in 1941. They moved to New Jersey in 1942 when Carl was transferred by the Western Electric Co. In 1972 they retired to Prescott.

Virginia enjoyed traveling, both in the U.S. and abroad, and was an avid bridge player until her sight became impaired.

She was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church for many years.

She was a devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed.

Virginia was predeceased by her husband Carl in 1990 and is survived by her daughter Helen of Prescott; son Carl Jr. of Sao Paulo, Brazil; and granddaughter Carolina, also of Sao Paulo.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Margaret T. Morris Center, 878 Sunset Ave., Prescott, AZ, 86305.

Private services will be held at a later date.

And flights of angels sing thee to thy rest.
