The White Mountain Independent Show Low, Arizona October 3, 2004 Funeral services for Janet Hatch, 65, of Woodruff were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 30, at the Woodruff Ward Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with Bishop John Scoggin officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodruff Cemetery. Janet was born in Woodruff and lived there all of her life. She attended Woodruff Elementary School and Holbrook High School. She married Lorin Laurice Hatch May 20, 1955. They began their family and raised their children in Woodruff. They loved Woodruff and were always active in the community and in the church. Janet has served in various capacities in the church and had been a teachers aid for several years in the Woodruff and Holbrook Elementary Schools. She also sold Avon for many years. Janet is survived by her three sons, Stanley Laurice (Heidi) Hatch of Holbrook, John Lee (Ramie) Hatch of Woodruff, Don Evan (Rhonda) Hatch of Woodruff; fourdaughters, Coleen (Curtis) Baker of Snowflake, Valarie Hatch of Holbrook, Wendy (Dale) Winger of West Jordan, Utah, Joyce Hatch of Woodruff; two brothers, Fred (Corrine) DeWitt of Mesa, Brady (Carolee) DeWitt of Holbrook; one sister, Diane (Lynn) Decker of Holbrook; 20 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Janet was preceded in death by her husband Laurice March 22, 2004. Her father Wendell Dewitt also preceded her in death Sept. 11.
