| Norvel Owens Mortuary Flagstaff, Arizona Rex Edger Johnson (August 31, 1936 - January 5, 2008) Rex Edger Johnson, 71, of Cornville formally for Flagstaff passed away January 5, 2008 at Flagstaff Medical Center. He was born August 31, 1936 in Albuquerque, New Mexico to William and Beulah Johnson. He joined the United States Navy and was honorably discharged after his services in 1962. Rex was a kind, giving man. He loved people and helping others in any way he could. He enjoyed bowling, dancing and all sports. Some of his greatest accomplishments were graduating form NAU, Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management in Phoenix, AZ and Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA. Rex is survived by his wife Barbara Eiko Johnson for over 50 years, sons Dean Bryan Johnson and wife Hallie Mitchell of Covington, GA, Steve J. Johnson of Santa Cruz, CA, and Grandson, Shane Johnson. His brothers William E. Johnson of La Crestcenta, CA and Don E. Johnson of Carson City, NV. A celebration of Rex’s life will be held 1:00 Friday afternoon, January 11, 2008 at the Norvel Owens Mortuary, 914 E. Route 66, The family request that those planning to attend dress casual. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society. |
