| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, October 24, 2009 Carol V. Jones passed away suddenly on Oct. 16, 2009, in Prescott, Ariz. She was born to Noble and Jesse Aitken on March 27, 1921, in Winner, S.D. She is survived by her son, Noble M. Jones (Becci) of Prescott, Ariz.; sister Janet Leonard of Spearfish, S.D.; grandsons Sgt. Thomas M. Jones (Dana) of Niceville, Fla.; Lance Cpl. Sterling S. Maynard of Camp Pendleton, Calif.; and one great-grandson, Jacob M. Jones of Niceville, Fla. She is preceded in death by her parents Noble and Jesse Aitken; husband Gomer M. Jones; granddaughter Rania J. Jones; and grandson Morgan S. Maynard. Carol and her husband Gomer moved to Prescott in 1967 to open Gomer Jones Dodge on Iron Springs Road.
