Patsy A. Beach was born Sept. 16, 1943 in Casa Grande, Ariz., to Quinton Kermit Riddle and Opal Annie Edwards. She was raised in central California.

Patsy graduated from Le Grand High School in Le Grand, Calif. Following high school, she married Charles Locke. They lived in various locations in Northern California, and Patsy raised three children and also worked as a teacher’s aide -- later returning to school to receive her teaching credentials and degree.

She later married David Beach in 1982, and they enjoyed traveling, which they did quite extensively. They spent a lot of time in Mexico.

Patsy’s passion was teaching. She spoke fluent Spanish and focused on bilingual education. David preceded her in death in 1999, and she later came back to Arizona -- living first in Goodyear and as of late moving to Wickenburg to be near family.

One of the most important things in Patsy’s life was her grandchildren and family. She is survived by children Susan Hatcher (Kendall) of Wickenburg, Regina Teddleton (Todd) of Burbank, Wash., Greg Locke of Wendell, Idaho, and adopted son Julio Orozco of Merced, Calif.; brothers Jim Riddle (Kay) of Turlock, Calif., Dale Riddle of Chickasaw, Okla., and sister Betty Thomas (Dave) of Chickasaw, Okla.; grandchildren Ashley Locke, Hope Hatcher, Zane Hatcher, Hanna Teddleton, Morgan Locke, Quinten Locke, Faith Hatcher, Sage Hatcher, Bryson Teddleton, Dominique Cox, and Heath Cox; and great-grandchildren Brantly and Preston Arroyo.

Family services will be held at a later date. Friends can express online condolences at www.wickenburgfuneralhome.com.

Arrangements were under the direction of Wickenburg Funeral Home and Crematory.
