Sad news came to Mrs. Mary McCollom Martin recently when she learned that her son Lt. Robert McCollom, was killed in action in New Guinea on Mother’s day, May 13. A former teacher in Salome, Mrs. Martin has been teaching in Yuma this past term. She plans to visit Lieutenant McCollom’s widow and infant daughter in Chicago this summer. |
