The Arizona Daily Sun, Flagstaff, Arizona Wednesday, October 21, 2009 Ann Auza, 66, died of natural causes Sunday, Oct. 18, 2009, while she slept during the night at her home. Mrs. Auza was born on May 11, 1943, in Ajo. Her untimely death has taken her family and friends by surprise. She was a loving wife, mother, teacher and friend. Mrs. Auza was a native to Arizona, graduating from Flagstaff High School in 1961 and continued her education throughout her life, including at Northern Arizona University where she received her teaching certification. She retired from teaching at Dateland Elementary School. She loved her classes and her school. She was a wonderful cook and baker for her family and friends. She enjoyed life and always was there for others. She was a great role model, friend and partner. Mrs. Auza is survived by her husband of 44 years, Frank Auza; children Annie (Richard) Miller, Frank (Tonya) Auza and Robert (Stacy) Auza; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Elizabeth Conway. A service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 16 W. Cherry Ave. A celebration of Life will follow at the St. Mary's Catholic Elementary Schoo, which is located across the street. |
