Olen Gilbert Linker, age 85, died Monday, March 30, 2009 in St. George, Utah. He was born November 26, 1923 in Boudinot, Oklahoma to Dessie Lee Hutchinson and Gilbert Arthur Linker.

Olen married Ada Oleta Wright in 1942. She died in 1963. Olen married Sarah Opal Mayo in 1966, and she died in 1973. He then married Lois Evelyn Reese on Aug. 8, 1974. She died April 24, 2005.

Olen worked in construction all his life. He helped build the Navajo Generating Station near Page from 1971 to 1975. He then moved his family to Farmington, N.M., where he worked on the construction of the Four Corners Generating Station. He also built homes in the Farmington area for many years. He retired back to Page in 2002.

Olen loved being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He always had a wonderful garden. He was very family oriented, always spending time with his children, grandchildren, and many extended family. His religion was also very important to him. He read the Bible faithfully, and had taught Sunday School for several years.

Survivors include his son Clifford (Debbie) Linker of Page; daughter Felicia (Douglas) Loukota of Peoria, Ariz.; sister Juanita Manning of Boise, Idaho; brother Eldon (Cathy) Linker of Bennett, Colo.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his three wives, brothers Kenneth Linker and J.T. Linker, and sister Viola Dow.

Funeral services were held Friday, April 3 at the Lake Powell Church of the Nazarene. Burial was in the Page Cemetery under the direction of Mosdell Mortuary.
