UNTIMELY DEATH OF POPULAR PATSY WARNER IS SHOCK TO ALL, SHE WAS ONLY 23 AND ILL A SHORT TIME

The community was saddened and shocked by the untimely death of Patsy Warner, a popular young resident of Wickenburg, which occurred at 2:30 a. m. last Sunday, March 29, at Community Hospital where she had been admitted at 9 p. m. Saturday. Her death came only nine days after that of her mother, Mrs Carmen Gilbert.

Patsy, who was born in Phoenix, May 20, 1930, and came to Wickenburg when still an infant, attended both the Elementary and High Schools here. For the past six years, she had been employed most of the time at the Round-Up Cafe, and was working there when she became ill.

Funeral services were held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Wickenburg Chapel with Dr. Charles S. Poling of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial took place beside her mother in the Garcia Cemetery.

Surviving are her father, Tom Warner, formerly of Wickenburg but now residing in Barstow, Calif.; a sister, Elsie and brother Floyd, both of Wickenburg. Also her step-father, James T. Gilbert, and her grandmother, Mrs Aurora Shields, of Wickenburg. She was the niece of Mrs Allen Hershkowitz and Manuel, Frank and Raymond Macias, all of Wickenburg.
