The East Valley Tribune January 12, 2005 James Richard Greenwell, PhD. passed away Friday, January 8, 2005, at his home. He leaves behind his sons, James, Frank, and John; grandchildren, Kelly, Kimberly, and Angela; great grandchildren, Georgiana, Brook, and Richard. James' passion was philosophy, history of religion, and education. He had attended medical school for one year when he decided he could better serve by teaching. He earned two masters degrees; in history and philosophy, and a PhD. in philosophy. He taught philosophy at Scottsdale Community College for over 30 years, before retiring. James will most be remembered for how deeply he loved his family. See Also: ASU Alumni |
