Luis A. Mansanares, 76, of Buckeye died Oct. 18, 2004, in Phoenix.

Mr. Mansanares was born June 27, 1928, in Monte Vista, Colo. A Navy veteran, he moved to Arizona in 1959 and to the Buckeye Valley in 1963. He worked as a farm worker, mechanic, welder, artist and licensed landscaping contractor.

Mr. Mansanares is survived by his wife of 53 years, Victoria; two daughters, Cynthia Marie and Luanne; five sons, Louis, Paul, William, Miguel and Randall; two sisters, Marian Ortiz and Alicia Valdez; two brothers, Martin and Anthony; and eight grandchildren.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Oct. 22 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Buckeye. The Rev. Charles Goraieb officiated. Interment was at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.

Buckeye Funeral Home made the arrangements.
