West Valley View, November 9, 2004 Ken Gendron, 60, of Goodyear died Nov. 2, 2004, after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Gendron was born June 28, 1944, in Detroit. After graduating from Lowery High School in 1962, he attended college and flight school in Miami, Fla., where he obtained his commercial pilot and airline transport licenses. He also was a certified flight instructor. A Navy veteran, Mr. Gendron flew as a commercial airline pilot in Alaska until 1986. In 1988, he became a test pilot and safety inspector for the Federal Aviation Administration, from which he later retired. Mr. Gendron is survived by his mother, Bernice DeGain; one daughter, Mindi Noirot; two sons, Garet and Donald Gendron; his companion, Patty Underwood; and one grandson. A service will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 12 at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave., Sun City. A committal service will follow at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley Road in Phoenix. Menke Funeral Home made the arrangements. |
