Losey Alvord Bassett, 80, of Brownwood, Texas, and formerly of Buckeye, died Nov. 25, 2004.

Mr. Bassett was born Sept. 26, 1924, in Madison, Ind. An Army veteran who served during World War II, he was a farmer who retired and moved to Buckeye in 1970. He recently relocated to Texas.

Mr. Bassett is survived by his wife of 58 years, Evelyn; two daughters, Doris Konkle of Madison, Ind., and Brenda Rose of Buckeye; five sons, Richard of Palmer, Alaska, and Ed, Greg, Jim and Randy, all of Buckeye; one sister, Carol Warner of Marathon, Fla.; 20 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

No service will be held.
