A12 Adam Guyion Lupton, 72, a Wickenburg resident for more than 20 years and active in community affairs, died Monday Dec. 23, 2002 in Wickenburg Regional Hospital after a long illness. Born and raised in Baltimore, Md., he was a second-generation Millwright with Bethlehem Steel, retiring from that supervisory capacity after 35 years of service. A member of the American Legion Post 12, he served for many years as an officer and member of its Executive Committee. He also belonged to the Forty and Eight. An avid builder and collector of model airplanes, he was a member of Model Aeronautics, a national club of model airplane hobbyists, and enjoyed working on his computer. He was the 1965 state of Maryland archery champion. He belonged to Sparrows Point Country Club in Maryland as a low-handicap golfer. After his retirement he traveled for several years across the country in his recreational vehicle before settling in Wickenburg. Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Joy; a daughter, Lois Ann Bober and son, Adam Emil, both of Baltimore. He is also survived by four brothers and two sisters. A memorial was held Saturday at American Legion Post 12 in Wickenburg. Family requests donations be made to Animals Benefit Club of Arizona, P.O. Box 26627, Phoenix, AZ 85068, in lieu of flowers. |
