Jimmie Ray (Jim), Sr. Enfield

JIMMIE RAY ENFIELD, SR., age 64, of Miami, AZ, passed away October 26, 2009 at his residence.

Jimmie Ray Enfield Sr. was born on Feb. 20, 1945 in Oakland, Calif. to Raymond and Fran Enfield. He was raised in both California and Oklahoma before moving to Arizona, where he met the love of his life, Linda Farmer.

At the age of 17, Jim joined the Army and began his military career. After 23 years of military service, Jim retired and relocated to Phoenix, Ariz., and then after one year Jim moved his wife and three children to Globe, Ariz., where he became the JROTC instructor for 25 years. He retired in 2008 from the Globe Unified School District. Jim also received an honorary high school diploma in 2008, the same year that his granddaughter Ashlie received her high school diploma.

Jim was a very loving and devoted husband, dad, grandpa and friend. Jim lived for his family and was a true blessing to everyone he met. "Papa Jim" will truly be missed and will live on in our hearts forever.

Burial of ashes was held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29 at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona on Cave Creek Road in Phoenix, Ariz.

Memorial services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, 2009 at the Globe High School Auditorium.
