Jason Davis (1914 - 2009)

JASON DAVIS, a native of Lamar County, Mississippi , passed away October 28, 2009 at the age of 95.

Born to Albert and Sally(Snelgrove) Davis on February 10, 1914, he moved to Arizona in 1956 where he learned to love the outdoors; enjoying hunting and fishing. He also loved the game of baseball and enjoyed following the Arizona Diamondbacks.

He was employed as a Hoist Operator at San Manuel Mining Co(later became BHP) and was a resident of Mammoth, AZ for many years.

He was preceeded in death by his parents and his wife: Avery.

He is survived by his daughter: Eva of Tucson, AZ, Sons: Willie(Nancy) of Show Low, Az, Norman(Judy) and Bobby of Mammoth, AZ, and Fletcher(Sandra) of Globe, AZ, a brother: Neal(Rachel) of Houston, TX, 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 3rd from 12:00 Noon to 1:00 PM with Funeral Services following at 1:00PM at the Trinity Baptist Church, Hagen St., in Globe. Interment will follow at Mountain Breeze Memorial Gardens, Highway 60, in Miami, AZ. Pastor Hugh Minefee will officiate.
