| West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona December 7, 2004 Basilio “Bass” Samarripa, 82, of Buckeye died Nov. 28, 2004. Mr. Samarripa was born April 1, 1992, in Grandflora, Texas. He moved to the Buckeye Valley in 1952, and worked as a ranch foreman in Buckeye and the Harquahala Velley. Mr. Samarripa was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Alphonsa. He is survived by two daughters, Mary Gamboa of Fountain Hills and Kathy Samarripa of Phoenix; two sons, Freddy of Avondale and Greg of Casa Grande; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated Dec. 3 at St. Henry Catholic Church in Buckeye. The Rev. Charles Goraieb officiated. Interment will be in Wharton, Texas. Buckeye Funeral Home made the arrangements. |
