West Valley View, Avondale, Arizona December 7, 2004 Donald Dean DeLong, 66, of Avondale died Dec. 3, 2004, after a battle with cancer. Mr. DeLong was born Dec. 29, 1937, in Iowa. A Navy veteran, he later worked for the John Deere Agricultural Division for 38 years, 23 of which were for Arizona Machinery in Avondale. Mr. DeLong is survived by his wife of 43 years, JoAnn; two daughters, Michelle Shelley and Sandra Mayhew; three sons, David, Dennis and Doug; one brother, Daniel; and nine grandchildren. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a scripture service at 7 p.m., at Menke Funeral Home, 12420 N. 103rd Ave. in Sun City. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 13720 W. Thomas Road in Avondale. Menke Funeral Home made the arrangements. |
