Bennie Joe Greene, 83, of Goodyear died Dec. 2, 2004.

Mr. Greene was born Dec. 26, 1920, in Quitman, Miss. A highly decorated, 32-year Air Force veteran, he served in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

Mr. Greene was a 35-year resident of Goodyear, and was active in local VFW Post 10308. His community service included serving as past chairman of the Goodyear Planning and Zoning Commission; involvement with the Fireman’s Retirement Fund Committee; and as head usher at the Luke Air Force Base chapel.

Mr. Greene was preceded in death by his wife, Annie, in 2002.

He is survived by three daughters, Deborah Neal of Cave Creek, Barbara Phillips of Flagstaff and Linda Fulks of Phoenix.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Shadow Mountain Mortuary, 2350 E. Greenway Road in Phoenix. A service will be held at noon Wednesday in the chapel at Shadow Mountain Mortuary. Interment will be at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona on Cave Creek Road in Phoenix.
