Ross Alfred Singer, 54, of Avondale died Dec. 17, 2005.

Mr. Singer was born March 4, 1951, in Chicago. A Marine veteran, he received a service medal, good conduct medals and a letter of appreciation and meritorious mast while serving his country during the Vietnam War. Since 1986, Mr. Singer worked as a SR. Software Systems Designer for APS/Pinnacle West Corp. at the Palo Verde Nuclear Plant. He was also a director with Greater Phoenix Bowing Association.

Mr. Singer is survived by his wife, Lorie Singer; two daughters, Monica Wright and Christy Rail; one son, Eric; two stepsons, Joshua and Jeffrey Pruitt; one stepdaughter, Amber Kurtz; three sisters, Darlene Hartman, Judy Schultz and Kathy Topham; and three grandchildren.

A service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, at Thompson’s Valley West Funeral Chapel, 926 S. Litchfield Road in Goodyear.

Memorials may be sent to American Veterans of Foreign Wars, Ladies Auxiliary, Cancer Aid and Research, 6907 E. Thomas Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85251.
