Ruby M. Kelley, 91, of Snowflake died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at Carriage House. She was born Sept. 15, 1918, in Wood River, Ill., to Clyde and Margie Smith.

Ruby spent her early years at Wood River, Ill. She married Wilson Kelley May 1, 1937, at Wood River, Ill. She lived in Alton, Ill., until moving to Almyra, Ark., in 1953. She moved to Carlisle, Ark., in 1957 and Phoenix in 1961. She had had a summer home in Show Low since 1991.

Ruby was a member of Love Baptist Church and North Phoenix Baptist Church and director of the Woman's Missionary Union for many years. Since moving to Carriage House in 2004 she had been very active in Sunday church services.

Survivors include her son, Gene (Diann) Kelley of Show Low; sister Francis Wright of Phoenix; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Thornton and a great grandchild.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 30, at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale.

Arrangements are under the direction of Black's Mortuary of Show Low.
