Military Funeral Saturday Evening For Paul Ambler

The death of PAUL AMBLER at Community Hospital Wednesday evening brought sorrow to many because he had lived here so long, was a friendly man, an enthusiastic sportsman and well liked by all. His death, at 5 p.m., came after a lingering illness; he suffered a stroke early in June, was confined to a hospital in Phoenix until being brought to the hospital here June 25.

A resident of Wickenburg since 1932, Mr. Ambler was engaged in the painting business here for many years. He was a veteran of World War I.
Born in Burrton, Kansas, September 18, 1888, he spent his early years in the middle west and at one time played semi-professional baseball throughout that area. He later moved to California and was employed as a proofreader on several newspapers in the Los Angeles area.

Kellis-Draper Post of the American Legion will conduct military funeral services at the Wickenburg Chapel at 5 p.m. Saturday and burial will follow in the Wickenburg Cemetery.

Mrs. Haddock came here last Sunday to be with her brother during his last days.
