Manuel V. Ceniseros, 62, of Kearny, passed away Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, in Mesa. He was born August 10, 1947 in Florence to Francisco, and Hermalinda Viola Ceniseros. He served with the United States Army in the late 1960s. A miner, he had worked for Kennecott Copper Corp. and ASARCO for 37 years. He was an active member of the Local Union 915, and had been acting Vice President. For a time, he had worked for the Pinal County Sheriff's Office, and he had also served as a Reserve Officer. He was a member of the American Legion. Manuel enjoyed being with his family, and he especially enjoyed the grandchildren, and was a most avid fan when they participated in sports. Survivors include his wife, Mary of Kearny; his son, Manuel F (Heather) Ceniseros of Apache Junction; his daughter, Katherine (Christopher) Myrick of Tucson; his mother, Hermalinda Ceniseros of Coolidge; his sister-in-law, Debra Sommers and niece, Jennifer Sommers; seven grandchildren, Justin, Chris, Josh, Meghan, Kevin, Noah and Jonah; as well as many nieces and nephews. The visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 1, at 8:30 a.m. at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church in Kearny. The Rosary will follow at 9:30 a.m. with the Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated by Father James Aboyi at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Superior.
