Wickenburg Sun, Wickenburg, AZ January 30, 1953 MILITARY FUNERAL AT WHIPPLE FOR JESS EVETTS WHO PASSED AWAY SUNDAY AT VETERANS HOPITAL THERE. Jess W. Evetts, a veteran of World War I who was a cook at the Texas Cafe here for some time and who passed away last Sunday at the Whipple Veterans Hospital near Prescott, was buried with full military honors at the Whipple Cemetery Tuesday. BORN IN OKLAHOMA Mr Evetts was a native of Chickasha, Okla., where he was born March 21, 1896. He came to Arizona 5 1/2 years ago and had lived in Prescott as well as Wickenburg. He is survived by his wife and three sons, Harry, Jack and Bill, all of Wickenburg, and three daughters, Betty, Revah and Mary. Also surviving are four sisters.
